SHADOWBOX PUPPETS
MISSION STATEMENT

SHADOWBOX PUPPETS has been involved in the music ministry for over 5 years together. Uniting as the former youth worship team at their home church in Bloomington, California, they felt the call of God on their lives to take music to an entirely different level. Through the involvement of a now close personal friend, Darren Bowls (Currently the sound engineer at Crossroads Productions in Vancouver, WA), they created their first 6 song CD entitled Glimpse, beginning a journey that is best described in Ephesians 3:20, "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us". Thus, the ride has begun and continues to take these guys further everyday. In May of 2003, with the collective efforts of Shadowbox Puppets and Darren Bowls, they released their 2nd CD entitled 21 Days. They are currently getting airplay throughout the world (internet, FM and AM radio frequencies) and have seen their first single track, Friday Night, make the top 40 on the Spiritual Internet Charts. But God's amazement doesn't end there. From having the opportunity to lead literally 1000's of people to commitments for Christ, the chance to travel and play in over 12 states across the country, and committed to serve on the worship team at their local church, these guys feel that God is just in the beginning stages of what is to come if they will continue to do what is most important to them: Be sold out for God!

THE MEANING
SHADOWBOX PUPPETS has two meanings in one. First, a “shadowbox” is essentially a display case for anything you want. A lot of times, many would decorate the outside of a box to enhance what lies inside. We as Christians serve as shadowboxes to the world. Our goal is to display Christ in our lives. However, the world too often judges the outward appearance of man. Therefore, we must show Christ to the world through our words, actions, and lifestyles. Second, is the term “puppet”. Many would say, “Why use the term puppet?...it’s so negative!” But we believe it is all how the term puppet is defined. We take, what is commonly known as a negative term, and create something positive out of it. We, being puppets, are simply stating a fact: “Without God’s hand directly involved in our lives, we are lifeless.”

THE MUSIC

SHADOWBOX PUPPETS finished their first studio project in January of 2000 with producer Darren Bowls from Ambient House Recording, debuting their first 6 song Album entitled Glimpse. The following are the song track titles and a brief description of its content:

BOO RADLEY
This song is based on the character Boo Radley from the classic story To Kill A Mockingbird. Labeled as an outsider, despised by society, and even feared by most, Boo Radley strikes the interest of two kids who desire to know who he is. This song parables the idea of coming to know Christ for the first time, superseded by fear and anxiety, and clouded by disillusion by a society who considers Christ a Boo Radley.

BEYOND THE PAGE
Many times in life we tend to rely and focus on the here and now, rather than what can unfold under God’s larger plan for our lives. This song speaks to those who have often desired to see the entire book beyond a single page.

This song is taken from the familiar scripture Proverbs 3:5-6. God can see much more than we can and we must learn to live and trust only in Him.

SHOULD’VE BEEN ME
Creating a fictional setting to understand that we should be the ones punished for our sin, this song expresses the reality of Christ and His sacrifice for us.

GLIMPSE
God has simply called us to be a light in this world for Him (Matt. 5:14-16).

THE OFFERING
A story about a girl who doesn’t have any money to give during the offering, but decides to give her life instead.
